The history of Amman is
inhabited by many civilizations and during the thirteenth century Amman was
well known as Rabat Amon or Rabbath Ammon. Later on the city remained a part of
the Nabataean province till 106 AD and during this time Philadelphia was under
the joint control of Decapolis and Roman. During this period of Ghassanian,
Philadelphia was renamed as Amman. The city was ruled by several empires
including Babylonians, Persians, and Assyrians for several years. Nowadays,
Amman is a commercial center and the capital city of Jordan.
The culture of Amman is
very attractive and colorful and includes excellent hotels, coffee shops,
luxury villas, gourmet restaurants. Apart from the hotels and restaurants there
are many museums, cultural centers, art galleries, and theatres in Amman. The
