Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and the capital of the state of Sao Paulo. Has a strong influence in commerce and finance as well as in arts and entertainment. Is considered to be an Alpha World City. It is also one of the richest and most diverse cities in the southern hemisphere.

 

It is the home of many important monuments, parks and museums like the Latin American Memorial, the Museum of the Portuguese Language, São Paulo Museum of Art, the Ibirapuera Park and the Paulista Avenue, Sao Paulo Stock Exchange, the Future Markets, and the Cereal Market Stock Exchanges and is also hosts ome of the tallest buildings in Brazil, such as the building Mirante do Vale, Italia, Altino Arantes, North Tower of the UNSCOM 

 

Sightseeing in Sao Paulo

 

Sao Paulo is often shaded by other places in Brazil such as Rio de Janeiro and Salvador but actually is a great city to explore. One of the major attractions in this city, it is the excellent quality of its restaurants and the variety of cultural activities and sightseeing options. It offers a jovial nightlife and an intense cultural experience.

 

There are a lot  of important  opera houses such as Sao Paulo Municipal Theater, Theatro Sao Pedro and Sala Sao Paul, several music halls: Credicard Hall, Olympia, Via Funchal, Villa Country, Carioca Club. All kinds of plays are performed at Sao Paulo''s hundreds of theatres and halls, from classical music, ballet to avant-garde plays and Broadway musicals. Tourists can also enjoy live performances.

 Whether taking a tour by bus, walking in specific neighborhoods or admiring a great view of the city on top of Edifício Itália, São Paulo has many options for sightseeing and exploring. Stroll around Vila Nova Conceiçao, one of the most expensive property areas in town. Drive along Pinheiros neighborhood which contains some of the most famous and popular night clubs in the city. The crossing from Av. Faria Lima and Av. Juscelino Kubitschek is a good place to start. Driving along the Faria Lima and surroundings, visitors will be rejoiced by a wide selection of bars and clubs. You should go to Sao Paulo during the annual Carnival, a national bank holiday, and get tickets to the parade in the Sambodromo. You will see dancers dressed up in costumes and musicians play samba songs on the top of fancy cars. Moroever, if you have tickets closes to the "pista" (close to the parade), you will have view of the parade..

You can even join the parade at the time of Carnival holidays by buying the costume from a samba school and getting in touch with the people organising the event in one of the schools.

Sao Paulo is known for its varied cuisine, from Chinese to French, from fast food to five star restaurants.
