Kuala Lumpur is the largest city of Malaysia that has its origin in 1850 when Malay Chief sent the Chinese upriver for opening larger and new tin mines.  Despite of the two World Wars, Kuala Lumpur city has continued to grow. In 1974 Kuala Lumpur city was made a Federal Territory.
