Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan and is situated against at the north periphery of ''Potohar Plateau''. When compared to its neighbor, metropolis Rawalpindi, Islamabad is peaceful, spacious and lush green. Historically, the region has been an important part of the crossroads of North West Frontier terrain and Punjab. The plan of this metropolis was designed in the year of 1960 by a Greek company of Architects namely M/S Constantions doxiades. The construction work started in the month of October 1961. It was the prominent date of 26th October, 1996 when the first commercial building of the city was occupied. Today, it is a carefully planned and modern city.
