Situated on the westernmost point of "Lesser Sunda Islands", Bali is an Indonesian island. With the estimated population of 3,151,000, it is home to the Hindu minority of Indonesia.  Around 93.18 percent population of Bali adheres to "Balinese Hinduism", whereas most of the remainder follows "Islam."

Next you can take a look on "Pura Ulu Danau Bratan" which is the most spectacular temple located on Island. Tucked on "Lake Bratan", this half-Buddhist and half-Hindu temple is dedicated to Water Goddess, "Dewi Danau".

Another place that you should visit is Bona located between the Blahbatu and Gianyar, and is a place where you ca buy bamboo furniture at very affordable prices. The place is also popular for dances, particularly the "fire dance." "Menjangan Island" is the most visited place in Bali. It is positioned on the western tip of the city and is home to "Bali Barat National". The adventure lovers will find snorkeling and diving extremely exciting. Besides, Legan Beach, Pura Kehen, Pura bukit Dharma Durga and Pura Goa Lawah are also some places that you don’t want to miss while in Bali.

Passport and Visa requirements for US Citizens

US citizens are required to present a valid passport that has at least one blank visa page and the passport should not expire within six months of the last day you are in Indonesia. US citizens are not required to obtain a visa in advance of travel to Indonesia. A visa is available upon entry for stays of less than 30 days. The visa on arrival fee for a stay of up to 7 days is $10 USD and the fee for a stay of up to 30 days is $25 USD. For stays exceeding 30 days you will need to obtain a visa prior to travel.
