The city Bangalore is adorned over the Deccan Plateau. Bangalore got its name from two words, Bendha Kaalu which means boiled beans. Bangalore was designed in the year 1537 by Kempe Gowda.  Bangalore city was captured by Shahajirao Bhonsle in the year 1638 and in the year 1687, it was under the dominance of Aurangzeb.  It was under the control of British that the city bloomed with major facilities such as telegraph, police, railways and postal services.  From then to now, the city has experienced growth in various magnitudes and has become the fifth largest city of India.
